2026 themes are 'Hope' and 'Community'

Calling photographers of all ages, nationalities and technical skills to be a part of Freedom from Torture’s third photography competition.
This year we have two separate words as the themes: ‘Hope’ and ‘Sanctuary’
Feel free to enter an image which represents ‘Hope’ or an image which represents ‘Sanctuary’ or an image which represents both words combined. You choose, and you can enter as many separate times as you like.
Everyone should be able to live with hope and with a sense of sanctuary, yet today there are 110 million people who have been forcibly displaced worldwide. Each person, with their own hopes, and dreams, forced to flee from violence, conflict and persecution, seeking sanctuary but leaving their homes, communities or countries behind.

By taking part in this open photography competition you are supporting Freedom from Torture, a charity which supports refugee survivors of torture in the UK.
